Shipping & Delivery Information
United Kingdom Shipping
* Cost: FREE Shipping on all orders across the United Kingdom.
* Carrier Service: All UK orders are sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class.
* Transit Time: Typically 2 to 3 business days following dispatch.
International Shipping
* Base Rate: £6.50 for the first item.
* Additional Items: £0.50 for each additional item in the same order.
* Transit Time: Please allow 7 to 21 business days for international delivery to account for global transit and local customs processing.
Order Dispatch & Handling Times
Our team works efficiently to get your historical media on its way to you as fast as possible.
* Monday to Friday: Orders placed before 4:30 PM BST are dispatched the same day.
* Saturdays: Orders placed before 10:00 AM BST are dispatched the same day.
* Sundays & Bank Holidays: Orders will be dispatched on the next working business day.
* Orders after cut-off: Any orders placed after these specific cut-off times will be dispatched on the following business day.
Digital Downloads
* All digital products are delivered instantly to your provided email address upon successful checkout.
* There are no shipping charges, handling fees, or delivery delays for digital-only orders.
Returns & Refunds Policy
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. In accordance with UK statutory rights and consumer laws, we offer a transparent, straightforward return process.
1. Return Window & Process
* Notification Window: You have 14 days from the date of delivery to notify us of your intent to return an item.
* How to Initiate: Email our support team at support@thegenealogystore.co.uk with your order number and the details of the items you wish to return.
* Shipping Window: Once you have notified us, you have an additional 14 days to post the physical item back to our return address.
2. Item Condition Requirements
* Physical Media: To be eligible for a full refund, physical items (such as CDs, DVDs, or Books) must be returned unused, in their original condition, and with any seals or packaging intact.
* Faulty or Damaged Items: If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please notify us immediately. You are entitled to a full refund, repair, or replacement under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
3. Digital Content Policy
* Due to the nature of digital downloads, the right to cancel and receive a refund is waived once the file download has started, unless the file is proven to be technically faulty. If you experience technical issues with a file, please contact us for a replacement download.
4. Return Shipping Costs
* Customer Responsibility: Unless the item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, the customer is responsible for the cost of return postage.
* Faulty Items: We will fully cover or reimburse the return postage costs if an item is verified as faulty.
5. Refund Processing Time
* Processing Window: Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will process your refund within 14 days.
* Payment Method: Refunds will automatically be issued back to the original payment method used during checkout (e.g., PayPal or Credit/Debit Card).
